Book While You’re Still Expecting
Most Philadelphia-area newborn photographers, myself included, recommend reserving your session during your second trimester (around 20–24 weeks). Babies have their own schedules, and photographers often book up months in advance. By scheduling early, you’ll have one less thing to worry about and can secure a spot on my calendar no matter when your baby decides to make their debut.
Ideal Timing for the Session
Newborn photos are typically captured within the first 14-20 days after birth, when babies are still super sleepy and curl easily into those cozy, snuggly poses we all love. Don’t worry if your baby arrives early or late, once you’ve booked, we’ll pencil in your due date and adjust the exact session date after your baby is born.
Preparing for Your Shoot
Sessions are designed to be relaxed and baby-led, in my Ridley Park studio.. I provide everything from wraps to props, so you can simply arrive with your newborn and enjoy the experience. Feeding breaks, diaper changes, and extra snuggles are all part of the day, we move entirely at your baby’s pace.
