PHILADELPHIA & MAIN LINE NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

One of the questions I hear most from expecting moms is, “What do I need to bring for newborn photos?”

And my answer is usually: not much.

I know those first few weeks with a new baby can feel like a lot. The last thing I want you worrying about is ordering outfits, finding the perfect swaddle or packing half of your house before your newborn session.

My studio is stocked with everything we need to create those soft, simple newborn photos you see throughout my work.

A Newborn Studio Stocked With Everything You Need

When you arrive for your newborn session, I have wraps, blankets, outfits, headbands, bonnets and other newborn accessories ready to use. I carefully choose pieces that photograph beautifully and keep the focus where it should be — on your baby.

You don't need to go out and buy a special newborn outfit or figure out what colors will photograph best. That's all part of the experience.

My goal is for you to be able to show up with your baby, get comfortable and let me take care of the rest.

Newborn Photos Without the Stress

After photographing newborns for years, I know how unpredictable babies can be. Some need to eat as soon as they arrive. Some need extra time to settle. Some sleep through almost their entire session.

We follow your baby's lead.

There is time built into newborn sessions for feeding, changing, soothing and snuggling. There is no pressure for your baby to sleep the entire time or behave a certain way.

I handle the wrapping, posing and transitions throughout the session so you don't have to arrive knowing what you want or how any of this works.

What Should Parents Wear for Newborn Photos?

While I provide everything we need for baby, I recommend keeping clothing simple and neutral for parents and siblings.

Creams, whites, beige, soft grays and other muted colors photograph beautifully and help keep your images timeless. Before your session, I'm also happy to help if you're unsure about what your family should wear.

You don't need to coordinate everything perfectly. Simple is usually best.

Newborn Photography for Philadelphia & Main Line Families

My private newborn studio is located in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, and I photograph families from throughout Philadelphia, Delaware County and the Main Line, including families traveling from areas like Media, Newtown Square, Wayne, Bryn Mawr, Ardmore and surrounding communities.

Having everything here at the studio means you don't have to haul props and newborn accessories with you. Just pack the things your baby normally needs — diapers, bottles if you're using them, a pacifier if your baby takes one and anything else that helps keep them comfortable.

I'll take care of the photography side.

When Should You Book Your Newborn Photographer?

I recommend reaching out while you're still pregnant whenever possible. We can plan around your due date and make sure there is room on my newborn calendar once your baby arrives.

And if your baby is already here? Don't assume you've waited too long. Reach out! Depending on my schedule, I may still be able to fit you in.

These tiny details change so quickly — the little fingers, flaky newborn skin, sleepy stretches and the way your baby fits against your chest.

My job is to make preserving them feel easy.

If you're looking for a Philadelphia newborn photographer or Main Line newborn photographer and want a relaxed experience where everything you need for your baby's photos is already waiting for you, I'd love to photograph your family.
